Vehicles: Past and Present

To me, vehicles are just that: vehicles. Vehicles for generating, communicating, and storing memories. My strongest and happiest memories from life center around automobiles. The first date with my wife, building my first go-kart, learning to ride motorcycle with my brother on a minibike, the first time my dad taught me how to drive a skid-loader, having tractor races with my brother. I can’t possibly list all the memories I have that involve some type of vehicle. From sleeping on the running board of my grandfather’s Model-T to whippin’ shitties in the driveway with my dad in the Opel GT, my sense of self is inseparable from the concept of transportation vehicles.

Past: Felicity

Felicity was the first car I purchased as an adult. I had cars when I was younger but it’s just not the same. I had just graduated from Stanford and was commuting to work.

Past: Gale

Gale joined the family right before we moved to China. I don’t have a great feel for her personality, but I am beyond excited (and quite afraid) to get acquainted with her.
